Create & Assign Your Phone Number

This is the first step to setting up your AI receptionist. You will provision a dedicated phone number and connect it to your AI agent.


1. Sign up or Log in

If you haven't already, sign up or log in to your dashboard here:

2. Create a New Number

Navigate to Settings in the sidebar, then select Phone Numbers.

  • Click Create a New Number
  • Enter your preferred Area Code (e.g., 415, 212)
  • Select a number from the list to provision it to your account

3. Configure AI Receptionist

Go to AI Receptionist in the sidebar.

  • Make any initial updates to the Agent Guidelines (you can always refine this later).
  • Click Save Changes to ensure your agent is ready.

4. Assign the Number

At the top of the AI Receptionist page, click the Phone tab.

Final Configuration Steps:

  1. Find the Phone Number section.
  2. Click the dropdown menu and select Phone Numbers.
  3. Choose the number you just created in Step 2.
  4. Click Save Changes.

Success! This is your AI receptionist number. Once you’re live, simply forward your calls to this number from your phone provider’s dashboard (Mango, Weave, GoTo, etc.). Any calls forwarded to this number will be handled by your AI receptionist.
